The spokesman of Nigeria’s secret police, Dr Peter Afunanya, late Tuesday night, raised the alarm over what he called planned orchestrated smear campaign against the Department of State Service, DSS, using some online newspapers and blogs. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has charged the federal government to reveal those behind the recent raid on the Abuja residence of Supreme Court Justice, Mary Odili. The Justice is the wife of a former Rivers State Governor, Peter Odili who served between 1999 and 2007.

The governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Olayemi Cardoso has urged Nigerians to be patient with the apex bank as it is doing everything possible to ensure that the Naira is strengthened.
